Manufacturing and Efficiency Evolution

Commercial CIGS cell efficiencies now routinely exceed 16–20% for modules, with laboratory cell efficiencies reaching over 23%. Manufacturing advancements, such as roll-to-roll co-evaporation and sputtering onto flexible polyimide or stainless steel substrates, continue to drive down production costs.
